The Middle East is a region where vehicle is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.

But this year, as protests across the Middle East have actually risen the rate of oil, the problem of discovering alternative of fuel has entered sharp focus.

In a region that has one of the highest carbon footprints on the planet, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's very first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing profitable too, currently their client-list consists of McDonald's.
